The Bremerton Police Department arrested a 44-year-old taxi driver from Gig Harbor last Saturday after he allegedly held a woman in his cab for hours against her will.
Kenneth Marshall Haines was arrested on a charge of false imprisonment, jailed, and released on $25,000 bail. The city of Bremerton immediately revoked his taxi operator’s certificate, according to a press release from the Bremerton Police Department.
Haines was reportedly driving a fully marked “Can Ken” taxi on Saturday when he stopped and offered to give a ride to a 50-year-old Tacoma woman whose car had broken down. He told her he owned a tow
