Kitsap County is opening its cold weather shelter in Bremerton Thanksgiving night due to expected freezing weather.
The shelter opens Thanksgiving night and remains open until at least Monday morning, according to a press release from the county. The shelter operates 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next morning. Guests are not able to check into the shelter after 10 p.m.
The shelter is located at the Bremerton Food Line, 1600 12th St., Bremerton.
“The shelter serves all citizens in our area who require safe overnight refuge where none is available,” the release states. “Continued activation past Sunday is weather dependent.”
