A Kirkland, Washington resident was arrested Tuesday on charges of making interstate threats related to a Facebook post relating to the unrest in Ferguson, Missouri.
The charges were announced Tuesday by acting U.S. Attorney Annette L. Hayes, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Jaleel Tariq Abdul-Jabbaar, 46, of Kirkland, was arrested Tuesday morning at his home without incident, according to the release. His initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Seattle was 2 p.m. Tuesday, the release states.
According to the complaint, Abdul-Jabbaar made repeated threats to kill an officer formerly with the Ferguson, Missouri Police Department, members of the officer
