A 27-year-old Port Orchard man died in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday on Highway 16, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Aaron Shawn Doud, 27, of Port Orchard, died in an accident around 9:33 a.m. Wednesday on westbound Highway 16 and Olympic Drive.
Doud was driving eastbound on Highway 16 in a red 2003 Ford F250, according to the WSP’s report. The vehicle left the roadway, crossing the center median. The car struck the cable barrier and came to rest on the shoulder of westbound Highway 16.
It’s not known if Doud was wearing a seat belt, or if drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident, according to the report.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
