Detectives with the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a woman suspected of stabbing her 54-year-old husband to death almost three months ago.
The arrest was announced in a Nov. 26 news release.
Chong C. Charpentier, 55, was taken into custody the morning of Nov. 26 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after she was released for injuries she sustained after the alleged attack on her husband, according to the release.
Charpentier was transported and booked into Kitsap County Jail on charges of first degree murder and first degree arson. Bail was set at $2 million.
According to the sheriff’s office, Alan Joseph Charpentier died after suffering stab wounds at the couple’s residence in the 8500 block of Covina Loop NE, in unincorporated Kitsap County north of Bremerton, according to the release.
